Marvel Civil War Comics

Today, I'm trying  something new. I am a huge fan of Marvel movies but I never  read their comics. I wanted to read a comic book for a change.  I decided to read the Marvel Civil War comics. A brief summary: A team of super heroes are reckless and let 600 people die in an explosion. As a result the government passes a law that forces superheroes to register their identities. Captain America resists believing the law violates his rights. Ironman is the opposite. He will do whatever it takes to make sure something like that explosion never happens again. The Avengers start taking sides. Ironman and his supporters hunt down Captain America and his followers, killing them if he has too.

What I liked about the comic book was the entire story was shown, not told. All characters thoughts and actions were expressed by dialog not narration.

Inheritance: A Brief Review

Inheritance is a really long book. My feelings for this book were mixed. Let me start off with the positive elements of the book. I really enjoyed the main battle between Eragon and King Galbatorix. Along with this the ending was nice and had no loose ends. All chapters in the book were significant and remained interesting. Now comes the negative effects about the book. The main problem for me was the length of the book. The book is over 900 pages, by the time most readers have probably forgotten details from the beginning. I felt like the book could have been split into two more parts (Inheritance and Brazingr were supposed to be one book originally.)  Overall, I would give Inheritance a 4 / 5.
