Blood of Olympus: Brief Non- Spoiler review

Overall Rating: 4.2/5

Why did I give this rating:
Overall while the book was well written with a good story, I left feeling empty and disappointed. Perhaps this was because the book was over hyped. If this was a regular book I would have been satisfied, but this book is a Rick Riordan novel and with that I expected more. Also, we need to keep in mind this book was the ending to the entire Greek and Roman Saga. Along with this, we also have to consider The Last Olympian, probably one of the greatest books of all time.Blood of Olympus failed to actually raise the bar from The Last Olympian unfortunately, and with the significance of this book, it have been better.

  1. Sounds like a major letdown. no spoilers, as I haven't read the book, but I have heard that his writing seems unnatural and not like his previous works. Honestly I expect a lot out of Riordan, as he managed to keep my attention to his books over the course of many years. His writing really connects to young people in a way you dont often see, especially when compared to other fiction authors such as Chris Paolini. His works are very detailed, high-level, and intense. I always liked him but Riordan always topped him as far as I'm concerned. But if my sources are correct this book looses some of that connection.
